Community Rides
Everyone should feel safe and welcome riding a bike in our community!
From spring through fall, we host fun, family-friendly bike rides through Hoboken, usually covering 4-5 miles with a couple of stops along the way. To keep things safe, we’re grateful to partner with the Hoboken Police Department, who provide an escort for our rides. Each ride starts in a different location and follows a unique route, so be sure to check the event announcement for details.
We ask that all participants be on a bicycle (or in a child seat on an adult’s bike), wear a helmet, and be able to ride comfortably at a brisk jogging pace (about 4 mph). If you're unsure, feel free to reach out—we want everyone to have a great time!
Social Events
We believe that advocacy is strongest when it’s built on community and joy!
Every two months, we host a casual social meetup where everyone is welcome. Whether you’re a cycling enthusiast, a safe streets advocate, looking to make new friends, or just want to chat (or debate!) with us, we’d love to see you there.
Stay tuned via our newsletter, social media, or events page for the date and location each time. No RSVP needed—just look for our banner and signature purple Bike Hoboken t-shirts at the venue.

September Community Ride
Join us on Sunday, September 28th at 10:45 AM at Northwest Resiliency Park for the September community bike ride!
This month, we’re teaming up with Girl Scout Troup 10305 to focus on bike helmet safety. A certified bike instructor will demonstrate how to choose and properly fit a helmet, and Ingrid Poulsen from Troop 10305 will lead 1:1 safety conversations. Perfect timing for families riding to school together!
Afterward, we’ll ride through Hoboken before ending at Elysian Park, just a few blocks from the Hoboken Fall Arts & Music Festival!
Our rides are family friendly. We ask that all participants be on a bicycle (or in a child seat on an adult’s bike), wear a helmet, and be able to ride comfortably at a brisk jogging pace (about 4 mph). If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out—we want everyone to have a great time!
We are also thankful for support from @hobokenpolice, who provide a safe route for these community events!
